The Spires

Since 1961, The Villanova Spires have been bringing great music, unforgettable performances, and lifelong brotherhood to Villanova University. Founded by Tommy West, Tim Hauser, and later joined by Jim Croce, the Spires began as a folk guitar group before evolving into one of the nation's premier collegiate all-male a cappella groups. More than six decades later, we continue to honor that legacy while creating a sound and culture entirely our own.

Today, the Spires are a close-knit group of friends who share a passion for music and a commitment to each other. We perform everything from contemporary pop and rock to timeless classics, bringing energy, personality, and vocal excellence to every stage we step on. Whether we're performing for thousands, recording new music, touring the country, or singing a birthday song in a residence hall, our goal is always the same: to make people smile.

What sets the Spires apart isn't just our sound—it's our brotherhood. The friendships built here extend far beyond graduation, connecting current members with generations of alumni who have helped shape the group for over 65 years. From campus traditions to national tours, every performance becomes part of a story that stretches back to our founding and continues with each new member who joins.

As Villanova's premier all-male a cappella group, we've performed across the country, released music on streaming platforms, and represented Villanova at events both on and off campus. But at our core, we're still a group of friends who love to sing together.
